The Importance of Fundraising Events
Fundraising events serve multiple purposes. They not only raise money but also foster community spirit and awareness. Here are some key reasons why these events are vital:
Community Engagement: Fundraising events bring people together, creating a sense of belonging and shared purpose. They encourage participation and collaboration among residents.
Awareness Raising: These events highlight important issues and causes, educating attendees about local needs and how they can contribute.
Resource Generation: Funds raised during these events directly support community projects, from educational programs to health services.
Building Connections: Fundraising events provide a platform for networking, allowing individuals and organizations to connect and collaborate on future initiatives.
Upcoming Events at Lions Park
Lions Park will host several exciting fundraising events throughout the year including our very first event: The Brill Gathering on Sunday 4th October.

The Role of Local Businesses
Local businesses play a crucial role in the success of fundraising events. Their support can come in various forms, including sponsorships, donations, and in-kind contributions. Here’s how businesses can get involved:
Sponsorship Opportunities: Businesses can sponsor events, gaining visibility while supporting a good cause. Sponsorship packages often include promotional benefits, such as logos on event materials and social media shout-outs.
In-Kind Donations: Local businesses can donate products or services for raffles, auctions, or event activities. This not only helps reduce costs but also showcases their commitment to the community.
Employee Engagement: Encouraging employees to participate in fundraising events fosters team spirit and community involvement. Businesses can organize teams for events like the Community Fun Run, promoting health and wellness while supporting local causes.
